Anger Management Room.
When I have a house of my own, I'm gonna set up an anger management room. You can scream, shout, throw things, punch walls and other forms of letting out your anger inside the room no matter how brutal it might be as long as you don't hurt yourself. But outside the room, all that is forbidden.
No, I'm not angry right now.
I just think it's a good idea. Think about it. Haven't you always wanted to just scream because of all of the anger build-up inside of you?
And you can't exactly let out your anger right there and then at home. It's just impolite and other people might view it as uncalled for.
As far as I can think of, I think it can be used for preliminary action before confrontation. When you negotiate or talk in anger your words get misinterpreted and distorted and that's unhealthy and nobody wins!
I can imagine it now. The room should be at the back or separate from the house. The walls would be sound-proof. No glassware, nothing sharp. Good ventilation.. Maybe all-rubber materials so that I don't have to replace so much things when people use the room. oh! Maybe a dart and a really big dart board. You can stick a picture of what's pissing you off and just throw darts at it!
Fibreglass insulation for noise dampening and a soft ground in case anyone tries something really stupid.
Two reasons for lots and lots of rubber duckies: To annoy you and make you angrier or to cheer you up, depending on your particular mood.
A large protected mirror to see how angry you really are. Mirrors are proven to incite more true feelings. The more you know how angry you are, the more you know the degree of importance the things you wanna solve.
What do you think?
